ICT Policy Updates

The University regularly reviews its policies and procedures relating to information security and other ICT-related matters, so we would like to bring to your attention the following, which have been reviewed and/or updated recently:

ICT Acceptable Use Policy [AUP]
• Revised to reflect the changes to data protection regulations and the introduction of the GDPR
• Revised to reflect the information classification scheme within the University Information Ownership and Classification policy

Portable Device Encryption Guidelines
• Revised to reflect the information classification scheme within the University Information Ownership and Classification policy

ICT Firewall Rules Process
• No significant changes

ICT Services and Resources Policy
• Revised the request scoring criteria as agreed by the Estates and Technology Steering Group

ICT Data Retention Policy
• Revised to reflect the changes to data protection regulations and the introduction of the GDPR
