Talis Elevate Training

 – Do you want to deepen student engagement with the content you use in teaching?
 – Do you want to expand collaborative discussion across your cohort?
 – Are you keen to get a better understanding of how students are actually using your content?

Talis Elevate, a new product available at the University of Lincoln, builds collaborative discussion directly into the content you use in teaching in the virtual learning environment (VLE), be it lecture notes, video, content from YouTube, or scans from the library. Using a universal player, students can engage in collaborative discussion, engage with commenting anonymously, and take private notes in your content in the VLE. Alongside this, Talis Elevate provides detailed, granular insight into how your content is being used by your cohort, enabling you to change your teaching based on your observations.

In the upcoming workshop, we will give an overview of how Talis Elevate works, how it’s having an impact on courses at the university and beyond, and explore how you can use this in your discipline, alongside good practice identified through current users. Attendees will get an opportunity to explore Talis Elevate as a student, and work with other colleagues on designing activities, and will leave being able to use Talis Elevate in their own courses.
