Due to some ICT refurbishment work taking place in the Jackson lecture theatre next week, our event will now take place in the Stephen Langton lecture theatre. Tea and coffee will be available in the foyer on arrival, as well as gift bags for UNISON members and UNISON promotional packs for non-members.

Our 2 speakers at the event will be Dr Rebecca Lewis, GP/Menopause specialist from Newson Health and Gaele Lalahy, COO of Balance. At the end of the sessions, Rebecca and Gaele will be answering any questions you have about the menopause. If you would like us ask a question on your behalf, please email it to me by next Tuesday, 21st June: Jknight@lincoln.ac.uk

Additionally, I am pleased to let you know that Helen Arnold from HR is working on a University of Lincoln menopause policy. Helen will be attending the event and is happy to answer any questions or receive comments in relation to the policy at the end of the Q&A session.

Following on from this this event, with the assistance of Leila and Nicole from the Eleanor Glanville Institute, Helen and I have set up a Menopause Staff Network. The network is run by staff for staff. The first meeting will take place at 1 – 2pm on Wednesday, 6th July and will be an informal chat over tea and coffee about what members want from the group; this could be to discuss issues related to the menopause, to provide peer support, and to exchange experiences. If you would like to attend please send an email to register your interest to menopause@lincoln.ac.uk
