Vlad Pozniakov’s JustGiving donations

An update regarding Vlad Pozniakov’s JustGiving page from Simon Clark, Security Contract Manager;

“I would like to thank everyone who has very kindly donated in memory of Vlad Pozniakov who as we all know sadly passed away earlier this year. The support we have had from all corners of the University and local communities has been overwhelming and it is testament to the man we all knew and loved.

Although not widely known, Vlad sadly took his own life, and we can only imagine what pain he must have been going through. This terrible ordeal has taught us all that you don’t need to suffer in silence, and there is a world of help out there if you want and need it. 

The charities we have chosen to donate to are, CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and MANUP? Both charities are fantastic sources of help for those people who are suffering with mental health issues, in particular men who often find it difficult to ask for help.

Following all the donations we have received; we will be donating the amount of £3480, to be split between the two charities. This has been a great response and hopefully the donations will go to helping other people like Vlad.

Once again, thank you all for your support and words of kindness. The Porter team in particular have lost a valuable member of their close-knit team but thanks to everyone, his memory can live on.”
