University Mental Health Day – Thursday 13 March
On Thursday 13 of March, The Student Wellbeing Centre are delighted to be joining in with the national initiative – University Mental Health Day.
Student Wellbeing has partnered with our colleagues in the Chaplaincy, Res-Life and Sports Centre to bring a variety of different activities, as well as being supported by the Samaritans and First Steps Eating Disorder charities, to help raise mental health awareness and supporting services.
University Mental Health Day brings together the university community to make mental health a university wide priority, and create ongoing year round change to the future of student mental health.
There are many activities ongoing on across the Brayford campus for students on the day, including:
– Laughter Yoga
– Sound Bath
– Craft Activities
– Therapy Dogs
– Boxercise Class
– Free gym access to all students
– Meditation
– Introduction to Positive Thinking
– Outreach support from Samaritans and First Steps Easting Disorder
Spaces for Laughter Yoga, Sound Bath and the Samaritans Talk are limited. Students can register their interest using the links below:
