Special Issue of Hospitality & Society on ‘(In)Hospitality and Belonging in Uncertain Times’
Edited by Lincoln colleagues Dr Agnieszka Rydzik (LIBS) and Dr Nicola Chanamuto (LALT) along with Prof. Donna Champbers (Northumbria), the new double Special Issue of Hospitality & Society is now out: https://intellectdiscover.com/content/journals/hosp/15/1-2.
Focused on the theme of ‘Migration, (In)Hospitality and Belonging in Uncertain Times’, this Special Issue arose from a conference organised in the Lincoln International Business School in September 2022 by the ‘Migration, Inter-Connectivity and Regional Development’ (MICaRD) international research network, funded by the ‘Regional Studies Association’ (RSA), and led by Dr Agnieszka Rydzik.
Between 2015 and 2023, the RSA MICaRD network organised multiple research events, including in Serbia, Italy, Greece, Poland and UK. The 2022 conference brought together over 50 researchers with a shared interest in exploring contemporary issues in migration and mobilities, making links across disciplinary, geographical and cultural boundaries. A salient theme was the multidimensional nature of belonging, and how belonging is shaped, experienced and framed.
The SI features a number of CoASSH colleagues, including Dr. Mahdieh Zeinali, Dr Connie Mak, Dr Samira Zare and Prof. Christian Karner:
