University of Lincoln Crowned Team Challenge Champions in City of Lincoln 10k
We are thrilled to announce that for the 3rd consecutive year, the University of Lincoln has won the Corporate Challenge at this year’s City of Lincoln 10k.
We can also boast that the fastest male in the Corporate Challenge was none other than our very own, Thomas Marshall, who crossed the finish line in an incredible time of 33 minutes – well done Thomas!
Rosie Damarell, People Engagement & Wellbeing Manager said: “The City of Lincoln 10k is an amazing event that brings together the local community and we are proud to have not only had 100 colleagues participate on behalf of the University of Lincoln, but to also raise money for Andy’s Man Club (AMC), a charity that helps break the stigma around mental health and provide safe spaces for men to talk and get support.
There is an intrinsic link between physical and mental health and this was an opportunity for our team to highlight this.”
Paul Ellis, Lead Facilitator for the Lincoln branch of AMC said; “It’s a huge honour for AMC to be a charity partner of the University of Lincoln. Congratulations to the team for smashing their target & raising over £1,600 for which AMC is enormously grateful. We want to thank all the team & everyone who donated.”
