What is Turnitin Draft Coach?
Turnitin Draft Coach is an innovative tool that helps you improve your writing by providing feedback on similarity, citations, grammar, and spelling. It is designed to guide you through the writing process, supporting you to review your work and develop your academic approach before submission. The system works the same as Turnitin through a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).
Key Features:
– Similarity Checks: Turnitin Draft Coach allows you to check the similarity of your work against a vast database, helping you maintain academic integrity before your official submission.
– Citation Assistance: The tool helps you ensure that your citations are accurate and properly formatted, reducing the risk of plagiarism.
– Grammar and Spelling Checks: Turnitin Draft Coach highlights areas that need review and provides support material to help you correct issues, rather than autocorrecting them.
How to Access Turnitin Draft Coach:
Staff and students can access Turnitin Draft Coach through Microsoft Word Online (via 365.lincoln.ac.uk). Draft Coach is not currently available on the desktop version of Word.
You can find Draft Coach under the “Turnitin” tab in your toolbar.
Why Use Turnitin Draft Coach?
Turnitin Draft Coach is designed to support students’ academic success by providing valuable feedback and guidance throughout the writing process. For staff, it can provide support when you are preparing a report or working on a research paper. Turnitin Draft Coach will also help review your draft writing.
We encourage all staff and students to take advantage of this fantastic tool and explore its features. For more information and support, please visit the Draft Coach resources page: https://digitaleducation.lincoln.ac.uk/resources-area/draft-coach/
