Supporting Parents in Prisons
The Centres for Innovation in Fatherhood and Family Research and the Lincoln Centre for Crime and Justice are delighted to invite you to an in-person event titled:
“Supporting Parents in Prisons”
Tuesday 8 July
Lincoln Medical School, Brayford Pool Campus
9.30am – 4.30pm (lunch is provided)
Presentations will be given in the morning by:
Dr Laura Abbott (Lost Mothers Project),
Professor Anna Tarrant (Centre for Innovation in Fatherhood and Family Research) and Kelly Rodgers (Prison Advice and Care Trust),
Dr Anita Mehay (City University),
Dr David Maguire and Dr Marie Hutton (Prison Reform Trust)
This will be followed by an interactive, arts-based session in the afternoon led by Emma Hulme and Dan Boyden (Social Interest Group Safe Ground).
The event will bring together academics, practitioners, and policymakers to explore how we can better support parents and families affected by the criminal justice system. The aim of the day is to foster dialogue, share insights, and identify opportunities for collaboration in supporting families impacted by imprisonment
