Entrepreneurial Behaviour Book Release

Congratulations to Dr Andrea Caputo who is celebrating the release of his latest book, ‘Entrepreneurial Behaviour: Unveiling the Cognitive and Emotional Aspects of Entrepreneurship’ with Massimiliano M. Pellegrini.
Released this year, the publication provides a range of scholarly explorations as to how decisions permeate the success of entrepreneurial ventures throughout their life cycle. This bridges the gaps in current research on entrepreneurship and innovative behaviours with decision making and negotiation. The success, longevity, and survival of SMEs are deeply linked to the effectiveness of individual decision-making processes, and established firms need to develop an entrepreneurial decision-making processes to maintain competitive advantages in a continuously changing and increasingly turbulent environment.
Andrea commented on his book release: “Massimiliano and I are delighted with the publication of this book, which reflects years of research and collaboration. Having observed a deficit in recent research on entrepreneurship and innovative behaviours, we hope that this contribution will be an asset to those readers interested in this area of study.”
In addition to the aforementioned publication, Andrea has also collaborated in the release of various new papers including :-
Pizzi, Caputo, Corvino & Venturelli, – Management research and the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs): A bibliometrics investigation and systematic review
The comprehension of the businesses’ impact to sustainable development requires consideration of the different factors that affect firms’ behaviour, such as corporate governance, non-financial regulation, and the external environment. The contribution of business and management scholars to the discussion surrounding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their impact for business organizations has grown exponentially in the last years. This review systematically examines, through bibliometric and systematic literature review methods, the scientific knowledge about SDGs and the business sector, analyzing (after fine-tuning) 266 articles published in leading journals between 2012 and 2019. The results reveal the existence of four research themes: technological innovation (cluster 1), firms’ contributions in developing countries (cluster 2), non-financial reporting (cluster 3), and education for SDGs (cluster 4). The main insights from the analysis of the papers are discussed, future research directions and practical implications for the field of study are provided.
Rosato, Caputo, Valente & Pizzi, 2030 Agenda and sustainable business models in tourism: A bibliometric analysis
Starting in 2015, 169 states launched a series of initiatives aimed at pursuing achievement of the 2030 Agenda. In particular, one of the main sector interested by 2030 Agenda is represented by the Tourism sector. The centrality of Tourism enterprises is related to the considerable impacts on the landscapes in which they operate. On the point, academics and policymakers have started to discuss the difficult for Tourism enterprises to adopt a business model based on sustainable paradigms such as the circular economy. According to this evidence, this paper aims to analyze the scientific debate that has characterized the first 5 years after the introduction of the 2030 Agenda. Bibliometric analysis has been conducted on 101 articles about the relationship between SDGs and Tourism published during the period 2015–2019. The analysis reveals the existence of three independent clusters of research regarding the impacts on society (Red Cluster), business models (Blue Cluster) and policy implications (Green Cluster). An interpretative framework to evaluate the strategies adopted by tourism enterprises to contribute to the SDGs is then developed and discussed.
