New Head of the School of History and Heritage

Professor Amy Livingstone has joined the University of Lincoln as Head of the School of History and Heritage.

Amy is an internationally renowned historian of Medieval Europe. Her research focusses on the aristocracy of medieval France, particularly women. She is the author of many articles and two monographs: Out of Love for My Kin: Aristocratic Family Life in the Lands of the Loire, 1000-1200 (2010), and Medieval Lives, c. 1000-1292: The World of the Beaugency Family (2018).

Amy joins us from Ball State University, Indiana, USA, where she was previously Associate Dean of the Honours College and Professor of History. She brings a wealth of leadership experience to the role in the School of History and Heritage, including a period as Head of History at Wittenberg University, Ohio. In spring 2019 she was a Visiting Fellow at Clare Hall at the University of Cambridge and in 2020 became a life member.
