Great Minds Lecture: Andrew Graham Dixon
Art critic, journalist and TV presenter Andrew Graham-Dixon will talk about building a career in the art sector and offer advice to those hoping to follow suit as part of the University of Lincoln’s Great Minds lecture series.
Andrew has presented numerous landmark series on art for the BBC, including the acclaimed A History of British Art, Renaissance, and Art of Eternity, as well as individual documentaries on art and artists. For more than 20 years he has published a weekly column on art, first in the Independent.
Andrew is also an author, having penned books on subjects ranging from medieval painting and sculpture to the art of the present. He also lends his expert eye to public service in the field of the visual arts, having judged the Turner Prize, the BP National Portrait Prize and the Annual British Animation Awards. He has served on the Government Art Collection Committee and the Hayward Advisory Committee.
The event takes place in the EMMTEC Lecture Theatre on 10 November from 5.30pm (Registration) with the lecture beginning at 6pm.Â
