We are pleased to announce that for the first time the University of Lincoln will be organising the renowned Pint of Science festival next year.

Pint of Science is an annual international festival that aims to showcase the latest research to the public in an accessible and interactive format across bars and pubs. This event provides a chance for the public to discuss research directly with the scientists carrying it out, and offers the perfect platform for you to engage a wider audience in your research.

The main festival will take place on the 20th – 22nd May 2019 in hundreds of venues across the world simultaneously.

We are now calling for speakers to share their research through an engaging 20-30 min presentation, followed by opportunities for discussion over a pint. Each Pint of Science event will involve more than one talk in related subject areas. Please share the attached flyer with anyone you think would be interested.

Talks are welcomed from the following themes:

Atoms to Galaxies (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

Beautiful Mind (Neurosciences, Psychology, Psychiatry)

Creative Reactions (Art and Science events and exhibitions)

Our Body (Biology, Medicine, Health)

Our Society (Sociology, Public Policy, Law, History)

Planet Earth (Earth Sciences, Plant Science, Zoology)

Tech Me Out (Technology, Engineering, Computing)

We are really keen to cover topics from all of the University of Lincoln’s Colleges, research from the College of Arts, the College of Social Science and LIBS will fit into these themes too!

If you are interested, please send your proposal by the 12th November 2018 using the link below. We will contact speakers in December 2018.
