Inka
When two scientists struggle to parent their son, Isaac, they create Inka for him. Inka is a piece of artificial technology, similar to Amazon’s ‘Alexa’. After the death of the parents, Isobel, Isaac’s sister, wants to capitalise on Inka’s monetary value, against the wishes of Isaac. Inka’s maternal design is mistaken for sexual affection as Isaac journeys into the meaning of love, in this dark, coming-of-age story.
Using physical theatre, composed music, live-stream video, naturalistic dialogue and contemporary storytelling. INKA explores the humanity in humanoids and the disturbing advancement of artificial intelligence.
