posted by Alistair Berry | 12/02/2020

The Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) is a study for people who have experienced anxiety or depression to get involved in a major UK research study about psychological wellbeing and treatment.

To take part in the GLAD Study part of the NIHR BioResource, you must:

– Have experienced clinical anxiety and/or depression during your life
– Be aged 16 and above
– Live in the UK

The study is conducted online and involves signing a consent form, filling out an online questionnaire, and providing a saliva sample from home. It will also ask for access to your medical records and if you are willing to be re-contacted for future research. If you are interested, you can go online to www.gladstudy.org.uk to learn more and to sign up. You do not have to take part; the study is entirely voluntary.

Ros Kane is the University of Lincoln lead for the project and can be contacted by email at rkane@lincoln.ac.uk.

For more information you can contact Rachael Fothergill, Clinical Research Practitioner at rachael.fothergill@nhs.net.
