Forensic science students shed light on bias in toxicology

A new study from the School of Chemistry involving third-year forensic science and forensic chemistry students has shown how knowing irrelevant contextual information about a case, such as age and race, can affect key scientific decisions in forensic toxicology.

The paper by Dr Hilary Hamnett is a collaboration with Professor Itiel Dror from University College London, and has been published in the new gold open access journal Forensic Science International: Synergy.
