Appraisals for 2020/2021

posted by Alistair Berry | 14/08/2020

Just a reminder to staff and managers that the staff appraisal cycle (both professional services and academic) will be deferred until the summer of 2021. As we are all aware, our priorities and ways of working have been heavily impacted as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and we are mindful of the adaptations and pressures staff and managers are facing in this current period.

A lighter touch check-in review is now available to replace the formal appraisal schemes for 2020/21, to enable discussions on key priorities and workload in a changing environment for all staff. A short and simple form is available to support these conversations should colleagues wish to use it, which is available at the link below:

New staff members currently within their probation period will still carry out their monthly development reviews with managers in the normal manner. There continues to be support for professional development, utilising our internal resources and expertise to assist staff around their current key priorities and all relevant information can be located on the Organisational Development website: https://hr.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/development/
