Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers
The University of Lincoln became a signatory of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers in February 2020. Becoming a signatory of the Concordat supports the development of our research environment and substantiates our support specifically for early career researchers. You can find more information about our commitment and obligations under the Concordat in the following link: https://www.vitae.ac.uk/policy/concordat.
HR and Research and Enterprise are working together to gather feedback and promote the Vitae Concordat alongside applying for an HR Excellence in Research Award. Consultation with academic colleagues is a key aspect of this work as ultimately the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Research will strengthen our academic environment.
We invite you to participate in a short survey regarding the three key principles of the Vitae Concordat: environment and culture, employment, and professional and career development. The principles are underpinned by obligations for four key stakeholder groups: funders, institutions, researchers and managers of researchers.
Please use this link to complete the survey: https://unioflincoln.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1RfdCoh8NBv4Lbv
The closing date of the survey is the 31st August 2020.
The information collected through the survey will be used to inform the University’s action plan and the actions we have committed to as signatories. The input you provide will enable us to monitor and further improve the quality of support available. We greatly appreciate your comments and welcome honest and constructive feedback.
Further consultation is taking place through working groups that have been established to consider the survey findings, including key themes, and to support the development and implementation of an action plan based on the Concordat principles.
If you are interested in participating in the academic consultation and would like to become a member of the working group, please contact Lauren Blackwell LBlackwell@lincoln.ac.uk.
Many thanks in anticipation for your support.
