Dr Nadia Gulko is Teaching Excellence Global Champion 2020

The Lincoln International Business School is very proud to announce that Senior Lecturer Dr Nadia Gulko from the Accountancy, Finance and Economics Department has been named as Global Champion for Teaching Excellence 2020 by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, (CIMA).

The international award recognises a CIMA subject lecturer who has demonstrated excellent engagement with CIMA students and effectively helped them to enhance their understanding of the subject taught. Nadia was nominated by her students, with many going on to support her in the voting process.

Nadia commented on her outstanding achievement: “This is a great honour for me to become the Global Champion 2020 in the ‘CIMA Teaching Excellence Award’ nomination! For me, this prestigious award is a result of hard work and dedication to the profession, with students at the heart of everything I do. I am immensely grateful to all my students, colleagues, family, and friends who have supported me all along this amazing journey. And my special thanks go to CIMA for their continued support to our students and for having organised such a spectacular virtual celebration with academic partners across the globe.”

Nadia’s Head of Department, Siobhan Goggin praised Nadia: “It is a wonderful achievement for Nadia to have been awarded this CIMA Global Champion for Teaching Excellence 2020 award. It is a fitting recognition for her work with the students and her continuing work with staff. Nadia has been awarded a variety of university teaching excellence awards and this award reflects her wider recognition. It is particularly pleasing to know that it was both her current as well as her past students who nominated her for the award. As her head of department, it was a proud moment for me when Nadia’s was named as the overall global winner. Well done Nadia for helping to keep LIBS and the wider University in the limelight for all the right reasons”.
