Opportunities for Staff to Become Microsoft Office Certified!
Digital Education have a limited number of Microsoft Specialist exams that are available for staff and students to purchase at £10 per exam through the University Shop.
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification is a great opportunity for those looking to demonstrate their proficiency in one or more Office programs at both Associate and Expert levels.
The exam, which will last around 40-50 minutes, can be taken in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access (expert level only) across both 2016 and 2019/365 releases. Upon achieving a pass in your selected software, you will receive a certificate in addition to a digital badge, that can be added to CVs, email signatures and LinkedIn profiles.
This opportunity is offered at a 90% discount of the standard price, and staff can complete multiple examinations to build up additional certification titles – such as ‘Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate’ and the ‘Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert’.
In addition to purchasing an examination seat, you will also be provided with access to training materials (through LinkedIn Learning) as well as mock practice examinations in a simulated environment similar to that of the actual exam (though the GMetrix platform).
Exams are completed online; staff members are encouraged to download the latest version of Google Chrome to take part in an exam.
