The University of Lincoln International College is formally launched today, under the leadership of Dr Malgorzata (Gosia) Drewniok, in partnership with the Lincoln International Business School and the College of Science. https://www.lincoln.ac.uk/internationalcollege/

The International Office have arranged an online conference for Sponsors and Agents on the 3rd of March 2022 – full details will be available through the International Office web pages.

The International College (IC) will provide a supportive and welcoming environment for international students joining the University who require additional English language and academic preparation before joining their chosen programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The College will encompass all of the programmes previously delivered through the English Language Centre , including pre sessional (PEASS) programmes and in sessional support for all students for whom English is not their first language.

Programmes have been developed jointly by LIBS and the College of Science with the International College, using an innovative model where IC students will be progressively integrated into the main cohort to help students to feel fully part of their programme and smooth transition at the end of their IC study. Programmes from the Colleges of Arts and Social Science will be able to join the IC portfolio over the next few years.

Preparatory IC programmes will start in the summer of 2022, the full list of available programmes is on the IC web pages. The College is based on the Brayford Campus and IC students will have access to the full range of University of Lincoln services and support, including membership of the Students’ Union.

The College has been developed to replace the pathway provision for International students that was previously offered through Study Group.

Academic Registrar at the University of Lincoln, Judith Carey, said: “I’m delighted the University is supporting international students on their journey into higher education. We’re proud that students from all around the world call Lincoln their home away from home, and study in our high quality learning environment.”
