Lincoln KE Hub
You may have noticed a new shortcut icon on your desktop for the “Lincoln KE Hub”. This is our new one-stop-shop resource centre for all things relating to Knowledge Exchange (KE). You can also reach it using this link: https://knowledge-exchange.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/
What is Knowledge Exchange?
Universities teach students and undertake research that creates new and useful knowledge. But they also work with many different types of partners to ensure that this knowledge can be used for the benefit of the economy and society – this is known as knowledge exchange (KE).
Knowledge Exchange describes the ways in which we, as a University, work to make a difference both within and beyond Lincolnshire, tackling regional and global challenges right across the world. This may be through, for example, working with a company or charity to drive environmental or economic change, collaborating with communities on cultural initiatives, or engaging in wider opportunities for students, graduates or the public.
Why would we like you to know about KE?
Knowledge Exchange is central to the University’s mission to transform lives and communities. KE not only provides opportunities to connect with society and find new avenues for income, but also – where it enables us to translate our research into society – provides a way to generate impact. As well as generating income through particular partnerships, our KE activities are assessed by Research England through the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) linking to future funding.
What is the KE Hub?
It’s the go-to website for you to learn more about Knowledge Exchange, find out more about KE opportunities and the support available within the University, access relevant strategies and policies, and find information about upcoming training and networking events. You can also list any KE events you are running to invite wider audiences. To find out more, to list an event, or to discuss support, contact the team at KnowledgeExchange@lincoln.ac.uk
