New Book out on 8th August
Dr Geeta Lakshmi, Associate Professor, LIBS has recently published a book on Challenge Based Learning. This innovative pedagogical approach was trialled in LIBS four years ago, making Lincoln one of the first UK universities to offer this. It has now grown to become one of the highlights of students’ CVs. As a form of experiential learning, it provides the opportunity for students to work on real-world problems and improve their employability. The Challenge-Based Learning project at LIBS, UoL4.0 Challenge (https://uolchallenge.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk), has attracted European research funding, contributed to business innovation and is firmly part of the curriculum. The book features chapter contributions from international academics in diverse fields as well as ex-colleagues from Lincoln. Three chapters have been contributed by LIBS colleagues Liz Price, Herbert Mapfaira, Siobhan Goggin, Chang Ge, Hao Quach, and Hannah Pimanava based on diverse applications of Challenge-Based Learning. The book showcases the unique offerings from the University of Lincoln, consolidating its reputation for excellence in teaching.
