Jane Hall, Project Officer for Selborne, has been recognised for her innovative achievements as part of the University of Lincoln team delivering educational programmes to the Royal Navy at BRNC Dartmouth, with an Above and Beyond Award.

This award recognises how Jane continues to deliver excellent work and positive change, reflecting the values and behaviours that we are striving to achieve within Team Fisher, the name for the consortium of partners delivering education and training to the Royal Navy under Project Selborne.

Having joined us in January 2022, Jane’s role supports academic staff across the various programmes and is integral to increasing engagement with wider Team Fisher colleagues.

Lucy Prescott, Project Manager for Selborne, had this to say about Jane’s contribution to the University of Lincoln and wider Team Fisher partnership:

“In 10 short months, having never worked in a military environment before, Jane has forged highly productive relationships across the whole of Team Fisher and the wider community at the College.

“Jane’s ability to learn and adapt to both the University, Team Fisher and Naval ways of working have been incredibly impressive. Jane has made rapid improvements in a broad spectrum of activities. She has coordinated physical improvements to workspaces, going above and beyond to clear and reinstate previously condemned academic office space. Her expanding knowledge and influence has seen her included at both DHoD’s and TDM.

“Jane has an incredible commitment to innovation. She has taken the lead of developing the Digital Classroom pilot, working with specialist colleagues at the University and colleague at BRNC to work though the options and possibilities for improved classroom experiences.

“Jane’s committed to engaging with the development of a BRNC Induction for TF and the wider contractor community and regularly suggests improvements not just for the University of Lincoln but for the wider BRNC community.

“Jane consistently receives excellent feedback from Team Fisher and Navy colleagues. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a positive, collaborative and tenaciously enthusiastic colleague.”

Jane will also be put forward for the Team Fisher Termly Award.
