CaHRU Research Seminar with Prof Niro Siriwardena

The Community and Health Research Unit (CaHRU) research seminar this month will be given by Professor Niro Siriwardena and is titled ‘Reaching the Parts Other Surveys Don’t Reach’ – Mixed Methods Surveys and Their Application.

The seminar will cover relevant aspects of theory, survey design, data analysis and integration as applied to mixed methods surveys, with examples of studies conducted by members of CaHRU and others.

Niro Siriwardena is Professor of Primary and Prehospital Health Care and Director of the Community and Health Research Unit, the research centre of the School of health and Social Care, currently with 18 staff and 10 PhD students, which he set up in 2010 to focus on quality improvement and implementation research. He co-directs the Lincoln Clinical Trials Unit, is research director at the National Institute for Health and Social Care Research Applied Research Collaboration East Midlands, and is an Honorary Professor at Cardiff University. He has published more than 180 peer reviewed papers in leading journals and has written four books with funding of more than £30 million during the past 15 years including from the National Institute for Health Research, Research Councils, Health Foundation and Wellcome Trust.
