Great North Run in Aid of the British Heart Foundation
Last year my best friend whom I had known for almost 40 years died suddenly of a massive heart attack while out running. He had been the best man at my wedding and was god father to both my children. He was loved by many and his passing has left a massive hole in our lives. Brian had always been a supporter of the British Heart Foundation and his brother works as a cardiac nurse at the LGI in Leeds.
Brian and I both took up running about the same time in an effort to stave off the creeping years and so in memory of B and to raise money for the British Heart Foundation I am running the Great North Run in September. As such I am reaching out to colleagues across the university to ask if anyone would like to donate to the worthwhile cause as I know many of us have been, or are being, affected by heart disease. Any donation large or small would be welcome and the link to my just giving page is below. Thank you for taking the time to read this and RIP Brian Tyndall.
