Images of Research competition 2023 – now open for entries

4 -7 JUL
  posted by Olivia Warbey

The Images of Research competition showcases the research taking place at the University of Lincoln and offers researchers the chance to represent their work through a single, unique image. Participants are asked to submit their image, along with a 150-word abstract describing how the image reflects their research. Please note we need a single image and not an academic poster.

The competition is open to any postgraduate research student or staff member who is undertaking research at the University, with all entries being showcased on our website ahead of the public exhibition taking place on campus from the 4 July to the 7 July. A panel of academic representatives will choose the two Panel’s Choice winners, one for Best Staff and one for Best Student, and the online vote will determine the People’s Choice award. All three winners will be awarded a prize.

To apply for the Images of Research competition, please follow the competition checklist here https://doctoralschool.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/files/2023/05/IOR-Checklist-2023.pdf and complete the application form https://forms.office.com/e/VQrzezmiE3 before the closing date on Friday 9th June.

Further information can be found here https://doctoralschool.lincoln.ac.uk/postgraduate-research-conferences/images-of-research/ and you can also view the brochure of entries from last year here https://doctoralschool.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/files/2022/06/Images-of-Research-Brochure-2022-FINAL.pdf, you may like to look at these if you need some inspiration.

We look forward to receiving many interesting and varied submissions again this year.
