New online platform The Careers Education Hub
The Careers Education Hub (https://universityoflincoln.sharepoint.com/sites/CareersEducationHub) was created through a university wide working group co-ordinated by the Dean of Teaching and Learning (LALT) Dr Kate Strudwick and Careers Education Manager Helen McCarron.
It has been designed to help staff confidently contribute to skills development and empower students for employment. The collection of on demand online resources have been curated to provide both standalone tools and videos, with signposting to wider university initiatives to help staff navigate the range of support and resources available.
The Hub Includes:
• Getting Started – Top 10 tips for embedding employability and signposting your students.
• The Learning guide – Background information and relevant materials to deepen your understanding of employability within the curriculum, based on research and recommendations.
• Repository – Links to off-the-shelf materials and advice on how they can be practically applied to academic practice. This includes resources to support Personal Tutors when signposting students and guidance related to the Career Readiness Programme and PGT Horizons.
Coupled with this growing online platform, the Careers & Employability team deliver careers education for students within and beyond the curriculum; email careers@lincoln.ac.uk for further information. For further information about support for students visit www.uolcareers.co.uk.
