Knowledge exchange with industries enables our students to access real world managerial issues. At Lincoln International Business School, University of Lincoln, MBA students on Marketing Management module have had an opportunity to work on a Postgraduate (PGT) Marketing Research Project with MediBioSense, a world-leading high-tech company using AI technology in the healthcare industry.

The project of the University-Industry collaboration provides MBA students a valuable opportunity for co-production of unique training experiences and for learning from the industry expert.

Simon Beniston, CEO, MediBioSense delivered an inspiring guest speech to introduce his company, embarked the commence of the project very recently. As a multi-award winner in innovation and the high-tech, MediBioSense secured ‘Exporter/International Business of the Year,’ Lincolnshire Business Excellence Award 2023 and the UK Business Awards 2020, 2018 and 2016.

Simon is pleased to see the students engaged in the real-world practices of marketing, innovation, and digital technologies to apply what they have learnt in classes. The students valued such an opportunity to work with an industry leader and the study experiences beneficial to their long-term career growth.

Dr Jialin Hardwick, Senior Lecturer, Lincoln International Business School, the project lead commented, “We’re very pleased to carry on working with MediBioSense, to build on the previous success of the project. This part of University-Industry experience created added value to the students’ in-class learning and acted as a platform for students to practise theory applications, problem solving and critical thinking and analytical skills, to enrich their research capacities and professional profiles for their future careers.”

The project ‘PG student project on Marketing of New Product/Service’ contributes to research conducted on behalf of the University of Lincoln and has received a favourable ethical opinion by a University Research Ethics Committee (2021-0831).
