Research participants needed for animal-assisted intervention study! (60 plus)
CALLING FOR PARTICIPANTS AGED 60+ (£15 voucher awarded for participation)!
RESEARCH STUDY ON DOG-ASSISTED INTERVENTIONS
We are looking for participants who are 60 years and above for a research study on the effects of dog-assisted interventions.
What would you do in the study?
> Part 1:
A) Complete questionnaires about pet-ownership & wellbeing, and 3 short computer tasks (about 10-15 minutes)
B) Take part in only 1 out of 6 interventions for 10 minutes
1- live interaction with a therapy dog, or
2- online interaction with a therapy dog, or
3- interaction with a robotic dog, or
4- interacting with a dog in virtual reality, or
5- watching a film about dogs, or
6- reading a newspaper.
C) Repeat of A).
>Part 2: Attend a follow-up session after 4-weeks
Please note: if you prefer not to interact with a dog, please let us know and we will place you into any of interventions 2-5)
Study duration: Part 1: about 30-45 mins, Part 2: 10 minutes
