ISAFBS 2023 Conference Keynote and Invited Speakers from Accountancy, Finance and Economics Department
Five members of staff in the Accountancy, Finance and Economics (AFE) Department represented the University of Lincoln as a keynote speaker (Mahfuzur Rahman) and invited speakers (Chau Le, Judith John, Thakur Ghimire and Davina Bird) at the International Seminar on Accountancy, Finance, Business and Social Sciences (ISAFBS) (Hybrid) on September 14-16, 2023. This conference was organized by Assam University (India) in collaboration with Alabama A&M University (USA) and North Eastern Hill University (India). One of the featured keynote presentations from Associate Professor Mahfuzur Rahman was on emerging technologies in emerging markets. Other topics by the invited speakers from AFE included taxing multinational companies, the global harmonisation of accounting standards and corporate governance, contemporary issues in green finance and the economics of sustainable consumption. It is worth noting that some of the invited speakers also served as session chairs on topics related to Finance, Micro-Finance, Social Sciences, Banking, Mergers and Performance.
