Figshare Repository and ORCID iD Drop-in Sessions
Following the launch of the new Figshare repository (https://repository.lincoln.ac.uk/), colleagues from Research Data and Systems will be running drop-in sessions in the learning development room on the ground floor of the University Library over the following dates:
• 9am – 11am, 30 November
• 10:30am – 11:30am, 5 December
• 12pm – 1pm, 13 December
• 10am – 11am, 20 December
These sessions aim to support colleagues in using the new Figshare repository, alongside setting up an ORCID and linking their ID to other University systems. It is essential that colleagues link their ORCID to MyView and Figshare, as Digital Technologies are using this data to link Figshare entries to staff profiles.
A suite of resources to support use of the Figshare repository is available from our repository help blogsite https://repositoryhelp.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/.
These also include how-to guides for depositing research outputs: https://repositoryhelp.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/depositing-a-research-output/
Research data: https://repositoryhelp.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/home/depositing-non-traditional-research-outputs-and-datasets/
Deposit Research” or “Deposit Data”: Which Option Do I Use? https://repositoryhelp.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/2023/11/21/deposit-research-or-deposit-data-which-option-do-i-use/
If you are unable to attend a session in person, or have any further questions, please contact repository@lincoln.ac.uk to arrange a virtual drop-in.
