Introducing the Multi Professional Hub: A Collaborative Space for Learning and Well-being
We are excited to announce that the Multi Professional Hub at 179 High Street has been operating successfully for six weeks. This innovative facility offers a range of opportunities for schools to use the space for student-led experiences and placements, external collaborations, and staff well-being.
One of the highlights of the hub is the student-led Physiotherapy clinic run by the School of Health & Social Care. The clinic has served 18 different patients so far, giving students the chance to interact with real clients and receive personalised feedback from the academic supervisor.
David Cann, one of the academic staff involved in the clinic, shared his positive experience: “Using the hub for student led clinics has been a very rewarding experience, both for the students and the academic team. The clinic is not just a way of students assessing and managing real people with real problems, but also the students have the opportunity for service developments as they are involved with the setting up and running the clinic.”
