SENSS Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme
We are delighted to announce that the ESRC has confirmed its award to SENSS of four Post-doctoral Fellowships (PDF).
This competitive scheme is open to the University of Lincoln. See further details here – www.senss.ac.uk/post-doctoral-fellowships
We will also add details to the University of Lincoln SENSS Teams site. This will include guidance for mentors, HoDs, and referees, all of whom must provide statements of support for applicants during the full application phase. Colleagues looking for more information or requiring assistance with identifying a mentor can contact senss@lincoln.ac.uk.
Process and timeline for applications:
Full information on the application process is on the SENSS website but key application dates are:
1. Expression of interest (EoI) phase: deadline 12.00pm (noon) GMT on Wednesday 20 March 2024
Interested applicants should ensure they get in touch with us at senss@lincoln.ac.uk before they start the application process. All those who are interested in applying for a SENSS PDF are required to submit an EoI via Qualtrics, by 12.00pm on Wednesday 20 March 2024. The link to the Qualtrics form is included on the SENSS website, but is also included here – https://essex.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a66bJA8RN9ZpK3Y.
The EoI requires applicants to: identify their proposed home university and the Theme to which they wish to apply; provide a summary of their proposed research project; identify their proposed primary mentor (who must be based at the same university as they are), and to identify their second mentor, if they are able to at this point (providing the name of the second mentor is only essential for the full application phase). SENSS requires each of its PDFs to have two mentors, the second of which must be based at a different SENSS university; confirm their eligibility; and provide a cv (not more than 2 sides of A4).
Partner universities will be asked to conduct an initial sift based on the EoI received between 20 and 28 March 2024. Eligible applicants who pass the EoI stage will be notified soon thereafter.
2. Full application phase: deadline 16 May 2023 (set by the ESRC)
Those applicants who are successful at EoI phase will be invited by SENSS to submit a full application (via HEIapply).
