Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) 2024

 posted by | 04/04/2024

Dear Colleagues,

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) will launch at the University of Lincoln on Monday 8 April and will run until Thursday 13 June 2024.

The PTES is a national online survey, co-ordinated by AdvanceHE and it provides an opportunity for postgraduate taught students to feedback on their experience in a range of topics including teaching and learning, engagement, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, resources and services and skills development.

We have included institutional questions to find out more about our postgraduate taught students’ experience of a range of campus and online services.

On Monday 8 April, enrolled postgraduate taught students* will receive an email invitation from the Jisc online surveys system containing a direct link to the survey which should only take around 15 minutes to complete.

Following its success last year, we will also host an on-campus campaign, with a voluntary space for PGT students to complete the survey. This will run from Monday 8 April for three weeks until Friday 26 April in the Minerva Building Atrium. Opening times: Mon to Fri: 10am-2pm. On completion of the survey (either online or onsite), students can show us a screenshot/image of their survey completion message (at the end of the survey) to claim a free drink and treat voucher** which will only be available for collection during the on-campus campaign. The free drink and treat voucher can be redeemed at the catering outlets based on the Brayford Pool Campus, Lincoln: Lindons (Minerva Building) OR Theorem (Isaac Newton Building) and must be used by Thursday 13 June.

The survey closes on Thursday 13 June and the results from this survey will be made available via the university dashboards early in the summer.

A copy of the question set can be found here (MS Word document): PTES 2024 Question Set

Please do encourage your postgraduate taught students to support this initiative and give their feedback.

Thank you

Claire Randerson

Dean of International and Postgraduate Taught Students
