National Learning at Work Week – Learning Power

Monday 13 to Friday 17 May

‘Learning at Work’ week is a national event with the aim to raise awareness of the many benefits of continual learning and development in the workplace.

The theme for 2024 is learning power; reminding us of the fact, we all have the power to change and achieve our individual and organisational goals when we engage with learning and development.

During this week, the Organisational Development and Talent Team will be highlighting the learning and development opportunities available at the University. Each day throughout the week, with LEARN in mind we will highlight a different topic each day and increase awareness of what development activities are available to colleagues. Keep an eye on PPC’s social media and staff news each day during this week!

As part of ‘National Learning at Work’ week we would also like to recognise and celebrate the achievement of all colleagues who completed formal development programmes during the 2023/2024 academic year. This includes the accredited Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Level 3 and Level 5 Awards, Advance HE’s Aurora Programme, INSPIRE Programme and varying apprenticeships. All colleagues will be receiving their digital certificates in acknowledgement of their hard work and commitment during our ‘Learning at Work Week’.

We would like to thank all the line mangers and mentors that have supported our colleagues through their learning journey; they provide a critical role that compliments the formal learning in the programmes.
