July Book of the Month

As we enter into the Summer months where we have more holiday time, better outdoor reading conditions and extended daylight hours, what better time to start thinking about taking some time out and getting your nose stuck into a good book.

Libraries & Learning Skills recently launched a collection of non-academic e-books and audiobooks via the Libby app. This month we will launch Book of the Month, where the LLS team will recommend a ‘good read’ available for colleagues and students to download.

July’s Book of the Month is Lonely Planet Guide to Great Britain which would be ideal for anyone thinking of travelling around our beautiful country during the Summer holiday season, think Summer adventures on your doorstep! There will be more exciting travel titles highlighted on the Libby page at the beginning of July which will include titles such as Cinematic Places, Foodie Places, Literary Places, The Green Edit: Easy Tips for the Eco-friendly Traveller, Minarets in the Mountains: A journey into Muslim Europe, Learn Chinese: 400 actions + activities and many more.

You can find the collection at https://lncn.ac/Libby, add your staff card at https://lncn.ac/addLibrary and download the Libby app from https://lncn.ac/GetLibby. You can also add your Lincolnshire Libraries card!

We’re keen to grow the collection, so if there is a book you would like to read or listen to, or a topic you would like to explore, please let us know. Please email contentandcollections@lincoln.ac.uk or library@lincoln.ac.uk, we’d love to hear from you.
