Applying for fellowships or promotions requires the candidate to demonstrate impact. This session will explore how impact can be identified and claimed as part of applications.

This session aims to provide reviewers with training on the conversational aspect of the PDR and overarching principles of the scheme.
Coaching Skills – Thursday 11 July

This session is for everyone who supports students and/or staff in their work – in an academic, student admin or technical role. You need to have an interest in helping others develop and learn, but you don’t need to be a line manager.
Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk – Thursday 11 July

As part of the Mandatory Training programme – Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk explains the significance and the impact of the Mental Health Policy. This session does cover sensitive topics, such as abuse and mental health.
AAPR Reviewer – Friday 12 July

This course is aimed at Reviewers of the AAPR for academic staff. It will be based on the skills needed for the effective conversations with academic staff abut their activities priorities and objectives.
Interview Skills – Tuesday 16 July

This practical workshop will provide colleagues with an opportunity to practice interview skills in a safe environment and with feedback provided. The session will give an overview of interview types that you may come across.
Personal Development Planning – Tuesday 16 July

A session for any professional service colleagues wishing to look at compiling a personal development plan or identifying skills gaps during this period of change.
