Effective Reform in Administration of Criminal Justice

The Lincoln Law School has organised a conference designed for senior criminal justice professionals mainly from Nigeria. The speakers include- HHJ Simon Hirst of the Lincoln Crown Court, Grace Moronfolu (MBE), Professor Dave Walsh, Professor Kim Barker, Ms Rosemary Holland, Dr Prejal Shah, Dr Dave Marshall, Mr John Kelly, Dr Lee Johnson, and other academics.

The aim of the conference is to highlight the issues of the criminal justice system, including, but not limited to- Police investigation, effective mechanisms for ensuring security systems, ways to improve criminal proceedings and the process and an analysis of the Proceeds of Crime Act in England and Wales and Nigeria.

This conference provides an outsiders perspective to changing the process in the existing criminal justice system. This conference adopts a collaborative approach that would help address the gap between academic and practice. This practice of academic development might assist professionals to create a conditions that might support learning and teaching.
