Graduation Ushers and Academic Attendance (Deadline Fri 23 Aug)

As graduation is fast approaching, this is a reminder that the deadline for registering academic attendance and to volunteer as an usher is this Friday 23 August 2024.

Graduation Ushers

We are still encouraging colleagues to volunteer for usher roles at this September’s ceremonies. Our staff and student ushers play a pivotal role in ensuring that the day runs smoothly for our graduands and their guests. A variety of roles will be available, from helping students with gowning and directing families to their seats, to looking after our VIP guests. Roles will be allocated to the Cathedral, Castle and Cathedral Visitor Centre, with day and evening shifts available to choose from. Academic Attendance

Colleagues wishing to attend one or more ceremonies, either as part of the platform party or the VIP audience, are required to book their place in advance. All academic staff should have received an email from William Northam inviting you to register your attendance and provide gowning information (if relevant) through their system. An information pack will be sent to you via email prior to graduation week.
