Book of the Month – October 2024

We’ve got something a bit different for you this month!

After more than 20 years as one of the most loved stage musicals, ‘Wicked’ makes its long-awaited journey to the big screen this November. And as it is Spooky Season, we thought we would celebrate this by offering colleagues the opportunity to listen to the audiobook which is now available to download through the Libby App.

According to Audible, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, by Gregory Maguire, has been heralded as an instant classic fantasy adventure. It is multi-access through the University Libby App, so there’s no need to put in a reservation if someone else is listening. And as the weather has taken a turn, why not arrange to listen to this with your team during your lunch hour and maybe you can plan a team social to go and watch the movie when it is released in UK cinemas on Friday 22 November.
