‘Race and the Built Environment in the Iberian World’ a roundtable edited by Dr Laura Fernández-González has been published in the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians

The September issue of Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians includes a roundtable entitled ‘Race and the Built Environment in the Iberian World’ edited by Dr Laura Fernández-González from the Lincoln School of Humanities and Heritage.

With groundbreaking essays authored by: Barbara Mundy, Sandra Pinto, Pilar Regueiro, Juan Luis Burke, Sidh Losa Mendiratta, Miguel Valerio, Francisco Mamani Fuentes, Antonio Urquízar, Amy Chang, Crislayne Alfagali, Rosalía Oliva, Mahé Lugo and Alice Santiago Faria, as well as, Laura’s introductory essay.

On the cover of the journal’s issue you can find a photo of Juana de Carvajal’s house in Havana taken by Mahé Lugo which is also discussed in her co-authored essay on Havana.

The issue is also open access until Tuesday 15 October.
