Dr Matthew Bayly (Senior EAP Tutor, International College) is delivering an online paper as part of the Workhouse Lives Seminar Series hosted by Nottingham Trent University and the National Archives.

Focussing on the Bourne, Sleaford and Spalding Union Workhouses, the paper will examine physical violence within these Lincolnshire workhouses across the later nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This is a free online event and will take place online at 5pm on Tuesday January 7 2025.
