Project Management – An introduction – 9.30am – 4.30pm

Prevent – 4pm – 5.30pm
This training, part of the UK’s CONTEST strategy, addresses radicalisation and terrorism. Learn about the Prevent duty, forms of extremism, risks of radicalisation, and your supportive role. Gain skills to make informed Prevent referrals and understand available interventions. Delivered nationally by Sam Slack, East Midlands Regional Education Prevent Coordinator.

Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk – 11am – 2pm
This workshop introduces the Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and the Student Mental Health Policy. Staff will learn about their responsibilities, the University’s role, and how to support and protect children, vulnerable adults, and students. The session covers sensitive topics like abuse and mental health, and highlights further training opportunities.
