We are writing to share the results of the recent elections to Academic Board 2024/25, with newly elected members now having joined their first meetings of Academic Board.

4x members of academic staff, elected by and from the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities academic community:
Dr Martin Scheuregger, Dr Jeongmee Kim, Dr Joshua Skoczylis and Ms Tracey White were elected.

3x members of academic staff, elected by and from the College of Health and Science academic community:
Prof Marc Hanheide, Dr Bart Vorselaars and Dr Aliyu Aliyu were elected (joining Dr Taghread Hudaib, who was already in post).

5x members of academic staff, elected by and from the whole academic community:
Ms Natascha McVeigh, Dr Gábor Gergely, Dr Rachael Sharpe, Dr Jonathan David Griffiths and Prof. Sam Hillyard were elected.

1x members of professional services staff, elected by and from the whole professional services community

Including our student representatives, the conclusion of this process means that just over 45% of the membership has been elected by a relevant constituency.

We’d like to congratulate those successful, and thank all candidates for showing an interest in an elected role on the Academic Board.
