International Expertise Meets Innovation: Shaping the Future of Education and Technology at BIM Horizons Workshop at Ainshams University in Egypt

Dr. Amira Elnokaly Leads International Hybrid Event on BIM Horizons at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt

On December 17 2024, Dr. Amira Elnokaly organised and chaired the “BIM Horizons Workshop and Roundtable Discussion” as part of the ATEM-P (Advanced Technologies, Entrepreneurship, and Management Partnership) event. The event, held at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, brought together international experts and stakeholders in higher education to discuss transformative advancements in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and postgraduate education.

This hybrid international event attracted around 60 participants, both online and in person, providing a collaborative platform for stakeholders from academia, industry, and policy-making bodies to address emerging needs in advancing interdisciplinary knowledge. Discussions focused on the development of innovative Master’s programs in higher education institutions (HEIs), exploring the integration of taught and research-based MSc programs.

The event was a result of a dynamic collaboration involving multiple esteemed partners, including The British University in Egypt (BUE), Ain Shams University, the British Council, and the University of Lincoln. It was supported by the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships Grant, highlighting the significance of global engagement and innovation in research and education.

As the event chair, Dr. Elnokaly facilitated insightful conversations, fostering actionable strategies for addressing the gaps between academic frameworks and industry practices. The event’s success exemplifies the role of cross-institutional and cross-national partnerships in addressing global challenges through knowledge-sharing and innovation.
