YMCA Lincolnshire Invites You to Sleep Out at Iconic Lincoln Landmark
YMCA Lincolnshire are seeking members of the local community to come together for a night outside; braving the elements, building cardboard shelters and sharing experiences to raise both vital funds and awareness for the services they provide.
Rough sleeping in England has increased by 120% since 2010 and the number of people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, is at an all-time high. It’s now more important than ever that YMCA Lincolnshire continue to offer shelter, support, and hope to those who need it – helping them on their journey to independence.
We cannot do this without the generous support of the public.
Helen Wright, Director of Housing at YMCA Lincolnshire, says:
“We provide far more than just a bed for our residents. Our wrap-around services support them with their mental and physical wellbeing, help them build skills and confidence, and provide them with access to opportunities and activities where they can relax, learn and belong.
Sleep Easy is a hugely important event in our calendar. The money we raise through this event will allow us to continue our high level of wrap-around support and enable our residents to thrive.”
