Call for Expression of Interest for Research Ethics Committee Chairs
Research Governance are currently looking for expressions of interest from individuals to fill the roles of Chair and Deputy Chair of the research ethics committees. The University currently has two ethics committees, the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and the Non-Human Research Ethics Committee (N-HREC). We are looking to fill 5 roles as follows:
2 x Chair Human Research Ethics Committee (one from each college)
2 x Deputy Chair Human Research Ethics Committee (one from each college)
1 x Deputy Chair Non-Human Research Ethics Committee
The Human Research Ethics Committee is currently expected to meet monthly and must be attended on a rotational basis by at least one chair/deputy chair. The Non-Human Research Ethics Committee meets less frequently and similarly must be attended by at least either the chair or deputy.
Further information regarding the role of the chair/deputy chair can be sent upon request. If you are interested in any of these posts, please discuss this with your line manager and send an expression of interest to the Research Governance Manager at ethics@lincoln.ac.uk, outlining your experience with research ethics and your reason for wanting to take on the role. Expressions of interest should be received no later than Friday 7 February.
