Wednesday 5 February
Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as Inspiration for a brighter future – 10am-12pm – Brayford Campus
Sustainable development goals incorporate social, environmental and economic change to lead to a more equitable world where people and the planet are healthy into the future.  The programme will link these goals for a better future for all of us.  This session will allow you to explore how you can incorporate these goals into your existing or future teaching – using inclusivity and authenticity as guiding principles.
Tuesday 11 February
Developing Cross Cultural Communication Skills – 10am-1pm – Brayford Campus
This seminar focusses on enhancing participants’ understanding, skills, and sensitivity when interacting with people from a range of diverse cultural perspectives.
Prevent – 10.30-12.00 – Online
This training, part of the UK’s CONTEST strategy, addresses radicalisation and terrorism. Learn about the Prevent duty, forms of extremism, risks of radicalisation, and your supportive role. Gain skills to make informed Prevent referrals and understand available interventions. Delivered nationally by Sam Slack, East Midlands Regional Education Prevent Coordinator.
For Colleagues who are requiring to complete their Mandatory Training and attend the Face to Face delivery of the Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk, there is currently availability on Thursday 13 February (2pm-4pm – Riseholme Campus).
