There are a variety of workshops coming up in March that Colleagues can book onto via MyView, we hope you find a session to enhance your Learning and Development.

Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as Inspiration

Sustainable development goals incorporate social, environmental and economic change to lead to a more equitable world where people and the planet are healthy into the future.  The programme will link these goals for a better future for all of us.

Tuesday 4 March – 2pm – 3.45pm – Online

Trans & Non-Binary Awareness

This session is open to all staff and will introduce the key ideas and information about trans and non-binary related matters.

Customer Service

This workshop aims to prepare participants with the skills required to establish excellent customer service within their role.

Thursday 6 March – 1.30pm – 4.30pm – Brayford Campus

Management Essentials: An Introduction

For new and aspiring managers. As part of the course, you will be introduced to a manager’s toolkit to help support you in carrying out daily transactional elements of your role.

Tuesday 11 March – 4pm – 5.30pm – Online

Prevent

This training, part of the UK’s CONTEST strategy, addresses radicalisation and terrorism. Learn about the Prevent duty, forms of extremism, risks of radicalisation, and your supportive role.

Wednesday 12 March – 1pm – 4pm – Online

Managing your Teams Mental Health & Wellbeing

This course will be delivered by Carol Duff, NHS Mental Health Professional and Senior Lecturer. The session will offer practical tools and techniques for managers to use with their teams to support their wellbeing and mental health.

Thursday 13 March – 9.30am – 11.30am – Brayford Campus

Interview Skills

During this session you will learn how to prepare for an interview. How to answer interview questions well and build your confidence for future interviews.

Management Essentials: Coaching

This engaging and practical workshop offers the opportunity to develop managers’ skills, confidence and impact in coaching at work, with individuals and teams.

Understanding Autism

This training is supported by a range of case studies, group discussion and workshop activities during which each delegate will learn to:

• Better understand the needs of Autistic people
• Create appropriate age and level appropriate environmental, electronic and visual interventions.
• Enhance social understanding by implementing effective strategies.

Monday 31 March – 12.30pm – 3pm – Brayford Campus

Understanding ADHD

This training is supported by case studies and workshop activities during which each delegate will learn to:

• Understand the needs of ADHD/ADD young people.
• Create differentiated, age and level appropriate interventions.
• Adapt the sensory environment to meet the needs of individuals and groups of individuals.
• Create effective behavioural interventions and strategies

For Colleagues who are requiring complete their Mandatory Training and attend the Face-to-Face delivery of the Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk, there is currently availability on the following dates in march:

Tuesday 18 March – 10am – 12pm – Riseholme Campus
Friday 28 March – 9.30am – 11.30am – Brayford Campus
